Colour Choices

Courtney and Wise are making some colour changes -- and this time it's not with paint!

We chose the deep purple and greyed lavender shades for the Courtney and Wise website with a view toward elegance and calm. We're a high quality firm, and we like the upmarket look of this subtle colour scheme.

But now we've decided to update our website with a new colour look that will work better for the web.

The process isn't about paint, but the process we go through when we make colour changes with paint is the same one.

We think about what was working with the old colour scheme and what needs work.

Have circumstances changed? The best interior colour choices for a growing family may not include the pale, delicate shades you love best, so the empty nest days might be a time to enjoy a colour scheme that just wasn't practical when the kids were small.

Or maybe times have changed, and colours that worked well in the past have begun to seem dated. Our new website will have the same elegant feel as the original, but the new palette is fresher and more up to date.

It'll be easier to read, too. That's not something we usually have to think about with paint!
